Today is the era of technology or digitalization. There are many common issues if we talk about technology. For instance, big data, artificial intelligence, mobile internet, cloud computing, chain blocks, internet of things, internet security, etc. Technology also already influences our lives. Everything becomes easier, more efficient, and more effective because of technology.
Many subjects are influenced by the massive changes caused by technology, including management accounting. If we talk about an industry, we realize that the more digitalization develops, the more important management accounting becomes.
APMAA 2003 conference raised issues that are relevant to the current situation. I believe this conference will provide a good platform to promote communication among all the members dedicated to developing management accounting in the digital era, not only in practice but also in an academic environment.
